He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine M. Hoppes (Kline); his parents, Edwin Hoppes and Sallie A. Heffner; and his stepbrothers, George and Joseph Heffner.
He is survived by: his children, Jean (Charles Miller) of Douglassville and Kenneth E. Hoppes (Carol Sutphin) of Exeter Township. He is also survived by Three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
