He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. R. and Mabel E. Gelbach (Reed); and his wife Paula Gelbach (Olewiler). He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah DeMichele M. D. (Andrew DeMichele M. D.) and Ellen Foss (Christopher Foss); his grandchildren, Andrew, William DeMichele, Hannah and David Foss; his sister Sarah Susannah Gelbach Wood (Ronald Wood); and his sister-in-law Rebekah Roberts (Philip Roberts).
