He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Stancil and Edith Harris Stancil; his sister Addie Greer; his daughter Tyra; and his aunt Gladys Tolliver.
He is survived by: his wife Delia Piggott Stancil; his son Christopher; his sisters, Gail Stancil, Gladys Stancil, Yvonne Jordan and Elaine Stancil; his cousin Rodney Tolliver; his in-laws, Marcia Piggott Atherley, Ernesto Piggott and Enrique Piggott; and his caregivers, Eleanor King, Barbara Young and Lorraine Hunte. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
