He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cherney and Wanda Cherney (Bramowicz); and his siblings, Rose Marie Wilson, Helen Donnelly, Margaret Bem and William Mack.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Cherney (Wenzel); his children, Greg Cherney of Royersford, John Cherney (Jessica) of Fort Irwin, California, Jenene Cherney of Marietta, Georgia and Kaitlyn Vanscoten (Nicholas) of Tobyhanna; his sister Susan Sheridan of Wurtsboro; and his grandchildren, Amilee, Hailey, Autumn, Gabe and Axton.
