He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Ann Zearfoss (Dempsey); his father Harry Zearfoss; and his brother-in-law Wayne Minardi. He is survived by: his mother Mildred Zearfoss (Wesley) of Lebanon; his children, Jason Zearfoss of Lebanon, Amanda Zearfoss of Lebanon, Shannon Zearfoss (Anthony Dodson) of Tobyhanna and Victoria Zearfoss of Tobyhanna; his siblings, Clifford Zearfoss of Lebanon, Lois Elliot (Robert) of West Virginia and Jackie Minardi of Lebanon; and his parents-in-law, Victoria and Alan Dempsey of Albrightsville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
