He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Davitt and Mary Shotts Davitt; his wife Katherine "Kay" Eddy; his son Jeffrey R. Davitt; and his great grandchildren, Ryland Davitt and Eli Grazier.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kimberly Schroeder of Valencia, Theresa "Terry" Davitt of Titusville, Christine Phillis of Titusville and Suzanne Walia (Pradeep) of Knightdale, NC; his adoptive son Tom Newcombe (Debbie) of Titusville; his grandchildren, Cassandra Phillis Rago (Ken), Melissa Schroeder Eckendahl (Ryan), April Phillis Fabiano, Matthew Schroeder (Rachel), Cheryl Phillis, Laura Phillis Grazier (Chris), Meerah Walia Waters (Alex) and Chaitan Walia; his great grandchildren, Carlee Grazier, Caden Grazier, Brenna Fabiano, Brihanna Rago, Ryleigh Rago, Michael Eckendahl and Ava Waters; and his brother Charles R. Davitt (Florence) of Lebanon, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
