She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ward and Carrie Confer Ward; her former husband Irvin "Jake" Kiehl; her children, Connie Pardee and Donald L. Shields; her great grandchildren, David and Kimberly Lind; her sister Doris Rial; her stepdaughters, Lorraine Pangburn and Sandra Decker; her brother Henry Ward; and her stepbrother Delbert Confer.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Shields; her children, Roberta Jones (David) of Kissimmee, FL, Ronald Shields of Oregon, David Summerville (Kathy) of Iowa, Mary Stoddard (Grant) of Genieva, OH and Lea Roseman (Michael) of Pleasantville; and her brother Leroy "Sonny" Ward (Mary) of Franklin. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
