He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Mehalko and Emma Tkach Mehalko; and his brother Charles Mehalko. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Proper; his daughter Sonia Herz (Steve) of Danville, CA; his grandsons, Nathaniel Herz (Kristi) and Jason Herz (Cassie); his great grandchildren, Ethan, Madison and Nolan Herz; his siblings, Mary Barnes of Meadville, Evelyn Hoppenstand of Apollo Beach, FL, Vince Mehalko of Meadville and John Mehalko (Lisa) of Albion, PA; and his close friends, Raymond and Jayne Cooper of Cooperstown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Chapmanville Community Church or to the Chapmanville Volunteer Fire Dept.
