He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Shaffer and Dorothy Carter Shaffer; and his stepbrother Ben Abrams. He is survived by: his fiancée Christina Brenizer of Titusville; his daughters, Krista Shaffer of Titusville and Casey Nester; his grandchildren, Hannah Nester, Timothy and Grace Fultz; his brother Eugene L. Shaffer II (Linda) of Titusville; his stepbrothers, Richard Abrams (Judy) of Hydetown and Gary Abrams (Judith) of Titusville; and also, Jason Antill of Tennessee, Tamara Tucker of Arkansas, Kristi Curry of Arkansas and David A. Kline of Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
