He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Eugene and Beverly Ann Gilbert-Lauer; and his stepfather Robert J. "Pete" Lauer. He is survived by: his children, Benjamin Norris Gilbert of Tionesta and Alisha M. Gilbert; his granddaughters, Dakotah Marie of Tionesta and Jadann Joanah Walter of Tionesta; his brother Lonnie D. Gilbert (Denise) of Woodstock, GA.; and his stepsiblings, Robert Lauer of Erie, PA., Karen S. Watson (Michael) of Oil City, PA. and Michelle Weeter (Michael) of Oil City, PA..
