She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hovelman and Dorothy Hovelman (Laney); and her son John Wallace. She is survived by: her sisters, Frances Young and Paula Wharton; her husband William Wallace; her children, Pat Merkovsky (Josh) and Sue Wallace Heasley; and her grandchildren, Elese Merkovsky (Mike), Andi Heasley (Adam), Grace Wallace (Patrick), John Merkovsky, Jill Wallace, Matt Merkovsky, Kate Heasley and Luke Merkovsky. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was recognized for her significant contributions to the community as a member of St Anthony's Church, blood drive coordinator, hospice volunteer at VNA, and Red Cross Disaster representative.
