He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Chappell and Edith Chappell (Rumsey); and his siblings, Richard (Carolyn), Jerry (Joanne) and Alice (Art).
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Chappell of Tioga; his children, William Chappell of Millerton, David Chappell (Patty) of Millerton, Danny Chappell (Sally) of Tioga and LuAnn Wheeler (Bob) of Tioga; his grandchildren, Chad, Daran (Darcie), Lindsay (Fred), Blair, Jordan, Chance and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Zeke, Stella, Madelyn and Rylin; and his pet Cocoa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
