With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene Margaret Kania of Tioga, Pennsylvania, born in Bullville, New York, who passed away on March 8, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy Barrett and Ina Barrett (Kinne); her son David Gillen; and her siblings, John, Alberta, Robert, Joyce and Bill.

She is survived by: her husband George Gillen; and her children, Robert Gillen of Nunda, NY and Janet Swinsin of Middletown, NY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
