He was predeceased by: his grandmother Irene Walton; his great-grandparents, Elwood Shadel, Homer and Myrtle Kauffman; and his friend Barb Bergstresser.

He is survived by: his parents, Anthony R. Kauffman of Thompsontown and Michelle R. Shelley (William) of Thompsontown; his siblings, Josh Bender and Jaymi Pal (David) of Charleston; his stepsiblings, Gabby Shelley, Sheldon Shelley and Hunter Shelley; his grandfather Gerald E. Walton, Sr. (Kathy); his stepgrandparents, Robert of Thompsontown and Susan Shelley of Thompsontown; his grandparents, Larry J. and Cathy Kauffman; and his great-grandparent Elva Shadel of Richfield. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
