He was predeceased by: his son Ralph I.; and his siblings, Gary Weiand and Ralphetta Schlegel. He is survived by: his wife Arlene L. Weiand (Leach); his sons, Greg, Gregory S. "Grubb" Weiand (Teresa), Reese, Millerstown and Frederick L. Weiand (Patty); his siblings, Charles Weiand (Joan) of Thompsontown, Arlene Teel, Iris Wilson (Leon) of Manheim and Sandy Summers (Gary) of Lewistown; his grandchildren, Joshua Weiand (Ali), Seth Weiand and Kacy Rhoads (Jesse); his great grandchildren, Trey, Chase, Drew Weiand, Gage Rhoads and Cooper Rhoads; and also Katherine Edna Weiand (Goss).
