Catherine Oravitz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Oravitz of Thompson, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret DeMoss and Dominic DeMoss; her husband Stanley Oravitz; her nephew Samuel Patricelli; her great-nephew DJ Palaisa; her great-niece Aliza Monestersky; and her siblings, Rose Marie DeMoss, James DeMoss, Delores Patricelli and Louis DeMoss.

She is survived by: her daughter Rosemary Lacey (Ted); her grandchildren, Scott (Jenna), Amy and Kate; her great grandchildren, Addy, Harper, Brynn, Rowan and Virginia; her sisters-in-law, Carmella Stern and Ruth Ann DeMoss; and her godchildren, Margie Palaisa and Tom DeMoss. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and companions.

In her memory, please also wear a mask and socially distance as an expression of care to others who are elderly or with compromised immune systems.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause she supported monthly for decades.
