She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Sparr and Mabel Sparr (Lengel). She is survived by: her children, Robert T. McGowan, Carol A. McGowan, Kathy J. Shappell, Kimberly J. Petersheim and John Jeffrey McGowan; and her siblings, Dawn Guigley, John Sparr, Joan Strouse, Larry Sparr and Susan McMullen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Paul's UMC.
