He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Leid and Anna Leid (Burkholder); his wife Vera M. Leid (Zeiset); his brothers, George (Anna), Aaron (Alta), Norman (Susie), Samuel (Mabel) and Alvin Leid (Mary); and his sisters-in-law, Judy Leid (Irvin) and Miriam Leid (Adam).
He is survived by: his children, Elvin Leid (Linda) of Withee, WI, Wilmer Leid (Alma) of Denver, PA, John Leid (Esther) of Withee, WI, Norman Leid (Julia) of Thorp, WI, Levi Leid (Linda) of Stanley, WI, Ellen Leid and Adam Leid; and his siblings, Adam Leid of Greenwich, OH, Irvin Leid of Greenwich, OH, John Leid of Ephrata, PA and Anna (John Zimmerman) of Newville, PA.. He is also survived by 42 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
