He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred J. Martin Horst; his parents, Aaron S. Horst and Anna Mary Mellinger Horst; and his siblings, Ruth Herr, Lester Horst, Glenn Horst, Clarence Horst and Mary Horst.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald L. (LuAnn Horst) of Lancaster, Robert L. (Jeanne Horst) of Harrisonburg, VA, Julia A. (Allen Redcay) of New Holland, Donna L. Horst of Lititz and Sheila K. (Perry Hoover) of Elizabethtown; and his brother Harold Horst of Ephrata. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
