He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry N. Smith and Leah Alberta Smith (Smith); his wife Lois M. Smith (Oss); his granddaughter Amber Smith; and his siblings, Donald Jeffers, Gerald Jeffers, Janet McKay, Nancy Jane Smith and Dorothy Jeffers.

He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Smith of Templeton, David Smith of Templeton and Denny Smith (Melanie) of Derry, PA; and his grandchildren, Danny Smith, Jennifer Cousins, Jennifer Smith Riehl, Cassandra Smith, Ryan Smith, Jason Smith, David Smith, Kayla Smith, Elaina Smith, Jonathan Smith, Andrew Smith and Matthew Smith. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
