He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Charles, Sr. and Patricia Caplinger (Schmidley); and his brother Howard Caplinger. He is survived by: his wife Jean Geneva Caplinger (Satter); his children, Richard Charles Caplinger, III (David Shaub) of Clearwater, FL and Debra Ann Hamm (Barry Hamm) of Temple, PA.; his granddaughters, Audrey Lynn and Katrina Marie Hamm; and his siblings, John Caplinger of Jamestown, SC, Karen Hayes of New Brighton, PA and Iris Cogley of New Brighton, PA.
