It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria J. Matuszak (Temple, Pennsylvania), born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Chester J. Matuszak; her parents, George Wagner and Irene Wagner (Knoll) of Mary's Roman Catholic Church; and her siblings, Richard, Jess Wagner, Barbara Seyfert and Dolores Harding.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Matuszak of Kenhorst, Joseph Matuszak of Fleetwood, Paul Matuszak (Cathy) of Leesport, James Matuszak (Shelley) of Mt. Penn, Jane Frisoli (Brian) of West Lawn and Barbara Pullano (Tony) of Leesport; her grandchildren, Michael Matuszak, Teresa Yost, Terry C. Ortiz, Jr., Andrew Matuszak (Krista), Kayla Matuszak, Kyle Matuszak (Lea), Brittany Matuszak and Jessica Walters (Sean); her great grandchildren, Emily, Kellen, Elliana, Austin, Alex, Jordan, Stanley and Noelle; and her sister Irene Bennethum.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA 19560). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Resurrection in Gethsemane Cemetery (3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 250 South 12th St., Reading, PA 19602.
