He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Koffel and Hannah Moyer Godshall; his son Dennis Godshall; his grandsons, James Santangelo Jr. and Miles Holden; and his siblings, Betty Landis, Miriam Derstine, Arvin and Clyde Godshall.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Mildred Godshall (LeFever); his children, Connie Kraynak (Joseph), Donna Hayden (Jerry), Mark Godshall (Kendall) and Brenda Haberle (Don); and his sisters, Grace Moyer, Alda Kratz and Thelma Bergey. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
