He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lou Derstine (Styer); his son Gary Derstine (Tara) of Quakertown; his granddaughter Courtney Derstine; his grandson-in-law Jacob Sonder; and his siblings, Merril Derstine (Elaine) of Telford, Wayne Derstine (Charlotte) of Perkasie, Betty Strouse (Earl) of Sellersville, Mary Appold (Walter) of Pennsburg and Alma Wissman (Al) of Mesa, Arizona..
