He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Gerhart and Helene Gerhart (Reiff); and his brothers, Steven Gerhart and Jeffrey Gerhart. He is survived by: his wife Mary Gerhart (Powis); his son Benjamin Gerhart (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Jacob and Kyle of Coopersburg, PA; his children, Rebecca Gerhart of Quakertown, PA and John Gerhart of Quakertown, PA; his stepson Michael Landis (Lindsay); his stepgrandchildren, Myla and Taylor of Center Valley, PA; his stepdaughter Melanie Poley (Christopher); his stepgrandchildren, Benson of Underhill, VT., Luca of Underhill, VT. and Hallie of Underhill, VT.; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Gerhart of Sellersville, Jane Detweiler, George Powis of Richlandtown, PA, Jeffrey Powis (Debbie) of Telford, PA, Willie Powis (Jennifer) of Green Lane, PA and Mark Powis (Shirley) of Telford, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
