He was predeceased by: his father John Martinek. He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Martinek (Smith); his wife Kimberly Martinek (Taylor); his daughters, Amy Martinek (James Geyer) and Keely Martinek; his siblings, John Martinek (Jamie) and Sandy Schrum (Thad); his father-in-law Bobby Taylor (Cheryl); and his close friend Rusty. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Hillman Cancer Center, 337 Somerset Street, Johnstown, PA 15901 in care of Dr. Michael Voloshin, in memory of Richard.
