He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara L. Baker Praschak; and his siblings, Walter, Paul, Joseph, Michael, Alice Kristunas, Carol Secor, Marie Bergamino and Jane Guzek.

He is survived by: his sister Mary Obal Praschak; his sons, Jeff Praschak (Lynne) of Cincinnati, OH, John G. Praschak (Jo) of Milford, Ohio and Mark Praschak of New Bern, NC; and his siblings, Theodore (Diane), Sonia Fedor (Walter) of Taylor and Eleanor DeMarzo of Taylor.
