With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joan M. Maikranz of Taylor, Pennsylvania, born in Olean, New York, whose life came to an end on September 23, 2024 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Purcell and Margaret Braukus Purcell; and her brother Robert. She is survived by: her husband Frederick; her children, Fred (Susan), Michelle Gavin (John) and Jeff; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Katarina, Olivia Maikranz, Jennifer White and Jackie Gavin. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Semian Funeral Home (704 Union St, Taylor, PA 18517). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Cathedral Cemetery (1708 Oram St, Scranton, PA 18504).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan's name, may be made to St. Joseph's Center, 2010 Adams Ave., Scranton, 18509; or to Toys for Tots, to 1118 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA 18644."Before you leave one last thing"!!!
