Emily Jean Sokol Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emily Jean Sokol of Tarrs, Pennsylvania, born in Smithton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 21, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sokol and Emily Hileman Sokol; her daughter Judy Thompson; and her sister Dorothy Toth. She is survived by: her children, Emily Oblak (Joel) of Ruffsdale, Joyce Thompson of Scottdale, Tony Thompson (Denise) of Smithton, Michael Thompson (Christine Stull) of Yukon, Greg Thompson (Sherry) of Scottdale and Theresa Hempfield (Vaughn) of Mt. Pleasant; and her siblings, William Sokol (Jan) of Turkey Town, Barb Redenbaugh of Arona and Linda Mayor (Dennis) of West Mifflin. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
