He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy M. Porter and Elizabeth H. Porter (Thompson); his wife Gloria Porter (Drury); and his daughters, Polly McClimans and Patty Grossi.

He is survived by: his son Daniel J. Porter; and his grandsons, Dane and Damon Porter of Tarentum.
