He was predeceased by: his father John J. Basista, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Maureen C. Basista (Bieranowski); his wife Sondra L. Basista (Brucker); his children, Matthew J. Basista (Virginia) of Woodbridge and Danielle L. Nelson (Victor) of Natrona Heights; his grandson Levi V. Nelson of Natrona Heights; and his brothers, Michael J. Basista (Georgene) of Russellton, Jeffrey J. Basista (Susan) of Allison Park, Gregory M. Basista (Rebecca) of Tarentum and David P. Basista of Tarentum. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
