It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Angel Mendez (Tarentum, Pennsylvania), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on May 25, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Martinez-Mendez and Maria Martinez-Mendez; and his daughter Alyssa Claypoole. He is survived by: his wife Margaret L. Pottle Mendez; his children, Desirie Mendez of Atlanta, GA., Amanda Mendez of Etna, Carissa Mendez of Pittsburgh, Scotty Skaggs of Marysville, Samantha Nelson (Dale) of Chesterfield, VA. and Justina Venturino of Tarentum; his grandchildren, Alexandria Brown, Madison Morvik, Tatum, Piper Ravsten, Xavier Wojciechowski, Jordyn Nelson, Dante, Domanik and Taylor Nelson; his great grandchildren, Abel and Dovie Jean Brown; and his pets, Bear and Gizmo.
