He was predeceased by: his wife Geraldine Transue (Werkheiser); his parents, John Transue and Dorothy Transue (Besecker); his daughter Sandra Sargent; and his siblings, Doris Fellencer, Donald Transue and Harold Transue.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Lewis of Bangor and Debra Buller of Manheim; and his sister Evelyn Konawalik of Brodheadsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances may be made to the Greene Dreher Volunteer Fire Association or the Newfoundland Ambulance Corps.
