He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret Benson (Miller); his son Joshua M. Benson (Jeanine) of Tamaqua; his siblings, Frank Smith, Charles Newton, Julian Ray Newton, Jr., Betty Lou Davis, Judy Goodard, Barbara Ann Slackus, Martha Bedwell, Brenda Anderson, Candy Glover, Mary Powell and Margaret Tucker; his grandchildren, Jayden, Juliana and Jacob; and also Woody.
