He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur William and Elizabeth Violeta Brobst; his children, William David Brobst, Jr. and Kathleen Steele; his grandson James Brobst, II; and his sister Elizabeth Melnick.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Brobst; his children, James Brobst (Denice) of Nesquehoning, PA, Billie Brobst of Tamaqua and Mary Cramer (Scott) of Tamaqua; his grandchildren, Crystal Tonkin, David Steele, Samantha Linkhorst, Amanda Wildin, Hollie Brobst, Jessica Martin, Devin Brobst, Tiffany Cramer and Austin Cramer; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Lukas, Owen, Mason, Justin and Bella; and his brothers, Arthur Brobst of Lansford, PA and Richard Brobst of Fort Myers. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
