He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell C. Nelson and Illomay Nelson (McLaughlin); his grandson Timothy Jacob Kluchinsky; and his sisters, Marilyn Nelson and Rosalind Hosler.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Nelson (Curvey); his children, Ricky Nelson of Abingdon, MD, Rushelle Slane (Thomas) of Tamaqua, R. J. Nelson of Tamaqua, Timothy Kluchinsky (Aunika) of Norfolk, VA, Donette Miller of Petersburg, VA, Colleen Miller of Mahanoy City, PA, Shawn Miller (Cindy) of Mountain Top, PA and Juli D'Ancona of Easton, PA; and his sisters, Renae Ziegler (Ernie Hill) of Tamaqua, Rochelle Lazarchick (Sam) of Tamaqua, Karen Lazarchick (Bill) of Tamaqua and Robin Krapf (Bob) of Coaldale. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
