He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Habel and Maude Hartranft; his children, Roy "Poncho" Habel and Kathryn M. Moser (Robert); and his siblings, John Hartranft and Marie McGeehan.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Joseph (Danielle) of Tamaqua and Doris V. Hosier of Tamaqua; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Habel of Mary; his grandchildren, Roy Habel, Marc Habel, Kimberly Mendinsky, Brenda Wallace, Chris Moser and Brock Roberts; and his sisters, Mary Frye, Hazel Kachelries and Patricia Rarick. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
