He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ellison and Jean Cornett Ellison; and his brothers, Mike Ellison, Bruce Ellison, Roger Ellison, Art Ellison and Ray Ellison.
He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Luching Ellison; his children, Stephen T. Sommers (Angela Sommers), Brian D. Sommers and Andraya Rowan; his grandchildren, Steven Sommers, Arianna Sommers, Victoria Sommers and Ellison Sommers; and his siblings, Douglas A. Ellison and Sandra Green. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
