It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. Wargo of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Yelito and Mary Yelito (Aberchinsky); and her husband George Wargo Jr.. She is survived by: her son Bruce Surotchak; her daughter-in-law Anna Mae Surotchak; her grandchildren, Stephen Surotchak (Brittany Updike) and Stacie Bennett (Patrick Bennett); and her great grandchildren, Theodore Bruce Surotchak, Nora Joan and Nicholas Alan Bennett.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St John XXIII Catholic Church , 307 Pine Street, Tamaqua, PA 18253 or the charity of your choice.
