She was predeceased by: her parents, John McLaughlin and Miriam McLaughlin (Roberts); her husband Russell C. Nelson; her daughter Marilyn Nelson; her grandsons, Jeffrey Nelson, Patrick and Scott Ferryman; and her siblings, Janice Snyder and Donald "Donny" McLaughlin.
She is survived by: her children, Renae Zeigler (Ernie Hill) of Tamaqua, Rochelle "Shelly" Lazarchick (Sam) of Tamaqua, Rosalind "Pixy" Hosler of Mary, Karen Lazarchick (Bill) of Tamaqua, Robin Krapf (Bob) of Coaldale and Russell "Rusty" Nelson (Doris) of Tamaqua; her sister Miriam Fegley (Donald) of New Ringgold; and also Illomay. She is also survived by grandchildren; (21) great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many step grand children.
