He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Anderson and Bernice Anderson Stibitz (Preston); his stepfather Nelson Stibitz; his brother Dwayne Van Somern; and his granddaughter Adrenne.

He is survived by: his wife Mary (Pasho); his daughters, Mary Mosser of Coaldale, PA, Sheral Bamford (Mike) of Hometown, PA, Michelle Rohrbach (Eric) of Fogelsville, PA and Dawn Perla of Coaldale; his grandchildren, Deana, Tommy, Timmy, Dusty, Sarah, Ben, Angela, Hannah and Quinten; and his sister Yvonne Krapf (Charles) of Mohnton, PA. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nephews and nieces.
