John R. Steinacker Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John R. Steinacker in Sylvania, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Steinacker and Matilda Steinacker (Wahl); his former wife Doris McCullough Steinacker; his son David Steinacker; his stepson-in-law Daniel Olpere; and his siblings, James Steinacker, Ethel Goehring and Eleanor Schomburg.

He is survived by: his wife Mildred B. Steinacker; his children, George Steinacker (Carol) of New Sewickley Twp, Patty Wachter (Skip) of Dauphin and Peggy Long (Tim) of Palmyra; his daughter-in-law Molly Steinacker; his grandchildren, Megan Heitzmann (Colin), Anne Wagner (Mike), Kimberly Cavanaugh (Seth), Sara Murphy (Ben), Melinda Buffington (John), Katie Frohnapple (Neil), Courtney Wachter and Derek Wachter (Brooke); his stepchildren, Carol Steinacker (George) of New Sewickley Twp, Diane Olpere of North Wales and Dale Beighey (Joyce) of Fombell; and his stepgrandchildren, Lindsey Kriegel (David), Kelsey Frederick (Joe), Tracey Stassi (Joey), Colby Beighey, Tristan Beighey and Sierra Beighey. He is also survived by four step-great-grandchildren.

Due to increasing Covid concerns, social distancing and the wearing of masks will be required for visitation and funeral service.
