She was predeceased by: her parent John Bassett; and her sister Mertie Hundington. She is survived by: her parent Freda Larson Bassett; her spouse Lewis McElheny; her children, Scott McElheny of Sykesville and Louann Ashley (Brad) of Center Barnstead, N. H.; and her brother John C. Bassett of Nazareth. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
