He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris Harter and Madeline Harter (Holtsapple); his wife Clara E. Etters; and his sisters, Margaret Pletcher and Jane Miller.
He is survived by: his sons, Timothy A. Harter (Chrissie) of Snow Shoe, Vincent M. Harter (Wendy) of Karthaus and Jayson L. Harter (Cathy) of Pine Glen; his siblings, George Harter (Bonnie) of Mill Hall, Kenneth Harter (Sue) of Castanea and Patricia Francis (Tom) of Anthem, AZ; his brother-in-law Grant Etters of Moshannon; his grandchildren, Daria, Derek, Devin, Jamison and Lucas; and his girlfriend Alicia Gaines of Karthaus. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
