He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Stefides and Mary Dzurek Stefides; and his siblings, Albert, Stephen, Daniel, Joseph, Mary Chipego and Helen Schlosser.
He is survived by: his wife Lothaine; his children, Richard Jr. (Beth) of Kingston, Robert (Evie) of Forty Fort, Edward (Sarah) of Lebanon and Kim Ervin (Randy) of Shavertown; his sister-in-law Steffie Stefanides of Swoyersville; his grandchildren, Nicole of Rome, Megan of Audubon, NJ, Erika of Philadelphia, Kristian of Manlius, NY, Alexandra of Forty Fort, Abigail of Philadelphia and Benjamin of Los Angeles, CA.; and his great grandchildren, Christo of Georgia, Theo of Georgia, Lula of Georgia and Adalyn of New Jersey.
