Elizabeth Hilla Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Hilla (Swoyersville, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 3, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Schultz and Eva Schultz (Koptcho); her husband Andrew Hilla; her siblings, Phillip D. Schultz and Ruth Smith; and her sons-in-law, Gerald J. Wassil, Esquire and Robert Darrell Mayhue.

She is survived by: her children, Louise C. Wassil of Kingston, Janet Rayeski (Anthony) of Mountain Top and Reverend Andrew Philip Hilla (Sally) of Boyden, Iowa; her grandchildren, Jennifer Hilla-Josefowicz (Michael Josefowicz), Jessica Martin (Georgina Holby), Andrew S. Hilla, Philip Hilla and Peter Hilla; her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Thomas and Zachary Kehoe; her great great grandchild Gavin Thomas-Holvey; her sister Grace Olson (William) of Tucson, Arizona; and her brother-in-law John Hilla of Wilkes-Barre. She is also survived by Several nieces, nephews former patients and dear friends.

In lieu of floral tributes, Mrs. Hilla previously requested that any monetary donations in her memory be made to her beloved church, St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, 271 Tripp Street, Swoyersville, PA 18704.
