With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald J. Rakus Sr. of Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 4, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Rakus and Dorothy Lukchunis Rakus Lukacinsky. He is survived by: his wife Theresa; his son Donald F. Rakus Jr.; and his sisters, Marlene Lukacinsky and Denise Comny (Jim). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Don's memory to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612.
