He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor W. Strunk, Sr. and Marie Strunk Fabel (Groner); his siblings, Robert Eugene Strunk, Clifford Dale Strunk, Larry Strunk and Marlene Hineline; and his stepmother Eva Strunk (Potter).

He is survived by: his significant other Lawrence "Larry" R. Smith; and his siblings, Gloria DeBoer of Stroudsburg and Joseph Strunk (Marie) of Stroudburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
