He was predeceased by: his parents, George Swire and Aseneth Kocher Swire; his wife Arline Wilce; and his brothers, Amos, Corey, Rush, Ralph and Bruce Swire.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne (Joan), Renford (Betty), Robert (Suzanne), Margaret "Peggy" Gale (George), Linda Boston (Roger) and Juanita Lyons (John, Jr.); and his siblings, John Swire, Ellen Nevel and Clara Lerch. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
