With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Ann Thomas of Sweet Valley, Pennsylvania, born in Noxen, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 16, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Shalata and Angeline Jones Shalata; her husband Paul R. Thomas; her siblings, Joseph, Thomas Shalata and Annette Koutnik; and her granddaughter Rachael Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Brian (Karla) of Shickshinny, Judy Blaine of Wilkes-Barre, Claytonna Sorber (David) of Sweet Valley and Stacey Krawczeniuk (Bo) of Wilkes-Barre; her grandchildren, Roderick, Nathaniel, Derrick, Nicholas, Clint, Alicia, Ryan, Jake, Rebecca, Luke, Leah and Emma; her great grandchildren, Mia, Brooklyn, Jade and Ivy; her siblings, William Shalata (Lucy) of Noxen and Judith Field of Jamestown, NY; and her sister-in-law Janet Shalata of Tunkhannock. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
